A Sloughi is a sighthound, which means they were bred for hunting. They are a very independent and loyal dog, but they can also be stubborn and need an experienced owner. The Sloughi is a high-energy dog who needs sufficient daily exercise and mental stimulation. They are best suited to an active family or people who can accommodate their need for space. They should not be left alone for long periods of time. If you are interested in a Sloughi, be prepared to provide enough exercise and mental stimulation to this independent and athletic breed.
