Smooth Fox Terrier History

The Smooth Fox Terrier, or “smoothie”, is a breed of small, smooth-haired terrier. It is believed to have originated in the United Kingdom, where it was developed from a cross between the White English Terrier and the Dandie Dinmont. The breed was imported into the United States in the late 1800s, but it was not recognised by the American Kennel Club until 2000. The Smooth Fox Terrier is a medium-sized, muscular, well-muscled, compact, square-proportioned, well-balanced, and elegant-looking terrier.
