Telomian History
The Telomian is a Hungarian herding and sporting dog breed that has existed in its present form since the 1920s. The Telomian is a medium-sized, muscular, solidly-built, agile, and active herding and farm dog. The coat can be black, gray, or brown.
Telomian Physical Characteristics
The Telomian is a small, medium-to-large sized dog that typically stands between 16 and 23 inches tall at the shoulder and weighs between 30 and 65 pounds. They have a compact, muscular and athletic build with a slightly arched back, a long tail, and a thick, double coat that is short and coarse, but silky to the touch. They have a distinctive wedge-shaped head with a short muzzle and a pointed chin. Their almond shaped eyes have dark rims and amber or hazel colored irises. Their nose is well developed and their legs are straight, solid, and thick. The Telomian is a loving but protective and alert family companion.
