Thai Bangkaew History
The Thai Bangkaew is a rare, medium-sized, long-haired, smooth-coated, working breed of dog from Thailand. The Thai Bangkaew is not a recognised purebred, although breeders are working to standardise the breed. It is descended from dogs brought by Western traders and settlers in the 1800s and crosses with local native hounds. The Thai Bangkaew was first recognised by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) in 2009.
