The Tibetan Spaniel is a scenthound and sporting dog. It is native to the Tibetan Plateau. The Tibetian Spaniel is a medium size, sturdy, long coated, athletic, and well balanced. The head is long and wedge shaped with a scissors bite. The nose is black. The eyes are small and dark. The ears are set high and are very broad at the base. The neck is of medium length and well muscled. The back is level, strong, and straight, with the topline slightly lowered. The chest is wide and deep and is very well sprung. The tail is set on and carried low. The legs are strong and compact with the feet being round and compact. The paws are webbed. The coat is dense, soft and close lying. Colors include: Sable, Black & White, Brown & White, Chocolate & White, Cream & White, Gray & White, Lilac & White, Red & White, and Tricolor.
