Toy Foxy Russell History
The toy fox terrier, also known as the miniature fox terrier, is a breed of small-sized working terrier developed in the United Kingdom. The Kennel Club (UK) considers this a “rare” or “small” variety. The history of the toy fox terrier can be traced back to the early 1800s. The “foxy” in their name comes from their resemblance to foxes. The “Russell” in their name comes from the Reverend John Russell, who, in 1867, crossed a Manchester Terrier with a Fox Terrier to create a “new and distinct” type of small “working” dog.

The Toy Foxy Russell is a very small, medium-breed dog that typically stands at between 6 and 8 inches and weighs between 1 and 3.5 pounds. They have a small, smooth, and shiny outercoat that is reddish-brown in color and a thick, soft undercoat that is white, cream, or pale yellow. They have pointy, fox-like ears and a bushy tail. The eyes of the breed can be blue, green, or hazel in color. The head is round and the nose is broad and black. The body is triangular in shape and the tail is bushy. The breed has a friendly personality.

The Toy Foxy Russell is an energetic, playful, and devoted companion. They are friendly and gentle, but also protective and territorial. They have a strong hunting instincts and may try to chase small animals if given the chance. They are intelligent and can learn quickly, and will generally excel in obedience and agility training. They are generally healthy and energetic, and can live as long as 15 years.

The Toy Foxy Russel Terrier is a sweet, playful dog that makes a great family companion. They are known to be devoted and protective of their owners, but they can also be a bit stubborn. Because of their small size, a Toy Foxy Russel Terrier does not need a lot of exercise. They do, however, like to play and will enjoy the opportunity to run off some energy. If they get too much, they may try to dig up your flowerbeds, so be sure to take your Toy Foxy Russel for a long walk or jog each day. The Toy Foxy Russel is a sturdy little dog that loves people of all sizes. They are good around children and other animals, but they can be aggressive toward other dogs.
