Trigg Hound History
The Trigg is a hound of the scenthound type, made famous for its involvement in fox hunting, although it is also used for hare and deer hunting. The origin is obscure, though the hounds resemble those depicted in paintings and prints of the 16th century. The characteristics of the early 17th-century hounds differ little from those of today, except that the tails of many of the earlier examples were docked, as was done with virtually all hounds until the late 19th or early 20th centuries. The Duke of Beaufort, who owned much land in the Herefordshire area, was responsible for establishing the tradition of foxhunting with that pack, which still hunts as “The Old North”.

Trigg Hound Activity Requirements
The Trigg Hound is a relatively new breed of dog that was created in the United States. They are believed to be a mix of several different hound breeds, including the Beagle, Harrier, and Foxhound. While they are relatively new, the Trigg Hound has quickly become a popular companion. They are playful and affectionate, and they make wonderful housedogs. While they are not as high-energy as other hunting breeds, they do require regular exercise. They will need a daily walk or a chance to run around outside. If you are looking for a fun-loving and cuddly companion, the Trigg Hound may be perfect for you. They are intelligent and eager to please, and they love to snuggle. While they are not high-energy, they do need regular physical and mental stimulation.
