Tsvetnaya Blonka-Poo History

The Tsvetnaya Blonka is a variety of the Chinook, or American, Eskimo Dog. It is a fairly rare breed of sledding and working dogs, with only about 80-100 individuals in existence worldwide. The Siberian Husky has a much longer history with humans than the Tsvetnaya Blonka, with records indicating that they served as pack animals for Russian explorers as far back as the 17th Century. The Chinook is thought to have originated as an early ancestor of the Siberian Husky, but the two breeds were separated for many generations. In 1935, the Alaskan Kennel Club recognized the Tsvetnaya Blonka as a separate breed of working and sledding dogs.
