Westeke Temperament and Behaviour

The Westeke is a calm, good-natured and loyal dog. They are gentle, and not overly energetic, which makes them a great family pet. They are alert and attentive, and are quick to notice changes in their environment.

Westeke Activity Requirements

Westekies are a terrier type dog. They are a high energy, playful, and curious breed of small to midsized dog. They are intelligent, loyal, and protective, and make great companions and family pets. A typical Westie will need at least one hour of walking or running each day. They are very active dogs and will be happiest in a home where they can play and run. If you have children or other pets, your Westie will especially enjoy their company. While Westies are not a particularly high-energy breed, they do require a great deal of exercise and mental stimulation. If your lifestyle doesn’t allow for this, a Westie may not be the best pet choice for you.
