The Wire Torkie is a mix between the Pomeranian and Yorkshire Terrier. The Wire Torkie is a small, compact, and agile toy with a wiry coat. The WireTorkie is not recognized by the American Kennel Club. It is a rare hybrid which is a cross between the small, stocky, and longhaired Yorkshire Terrier (also known as Yorkies) and the shorthaired, low-shedding, and hypoallergenic Pomeranian. The WireTorkie is likely to inherit the temperament of either parent.
Wire Torkie Physical Characteristics
The Wire-Torkie is a cross between the Toy Fox Terrier and the Miniature Schnauzer. They are small, stocky dogs that stand between 10 and 13 inches tall at the shoulder and weigh between 15 and 25 pounds. They have a medium-length, fox-like tail and a smooth, wire-haired coat that is red, white, or black and may be mixed with gray or copper. They have a round head, large, erect ears, and a blunt muzzle. The eyes of the Wire-Torkie are dark brown. They are energetic, playful, and fearless.
