Woodle History
The history of the Woodle or woodle tree sheepdog is very long. The origin of the name “woodle” is from “wold”, which means field. The Old English term, “wode”, was used to describe both “wood” and “field”.

Woodle Temperament and Behaviour
The Woodle is typically a laid-back and calm dog that is relatively low-strung and tolerant of children. They are gentle and mild-mannered, but can be protective of their family and territory. They are smart, but not overly active and might prefer lounging around to playing.
Woodle Activity Requirements
The Old English Sheepdog, or “Bobtail,” is a medium-sized, square-proportioned dog. They are great with children, but tend to be a bit rambunctious. They require regular exercise, but are generally not considered high-energy. Bobtails require a lot of human interaction. They are a very family-oriented dog and crave attention. They love playing games and going for walks, but they also do well in an indoor environment. When they spend a lot of time inside, they do better with a regular, structured routine.
