The American Bulldog is a medium-sized, muscular, short-haired, square-proportioned, compact, robust, and powerful working and herding dog. The Old English Bulldog was a large, strong, powerful, and tenacious Bullmastiff-type dog that originated in the United Kingdom. This type was known as the “Bull and Terrier”, “Old British Bulldog”, or “Old English”. The Rottweiler is a medium to large sized, solidly built, agile, powerful, and confident working and herding dog. The American Pit Bull Terrier is a medium sized, muscular, stocky, short-coated, square-proportioned, and athletic version of the Olde Tyme Bulldog.
