They have a long, lean body with a thick, rectangular-shaped head, and a round to oval-shaped muzzle. They have thick, tight skin of any color, including white. Their eyes and ears are very large. Their tail is docked. They have a thick double dewclaw on each rear leg. They have a square, stocky build. They usually come in two varieties: blue nose, red nose.
