Aussie-Corgi Physical Characteristics
The Aussie-Corgi is a medium-size, hybrid breed that typically stands between 19 and 23.5 inches tall at the shoulder and weighs between 35 and 55 pounds. They can have a variety of different looks, but the most common is a smooth, short, double layered coat of blue merle with a black saddle and legs. This makes them look like an Australian Shepherd with Corgi-like legs and muzzle. They have a narrower head than the Australian Shepherd, but a longer muzzle than Corgis. They are smart, confident dogs that are very affectionate and loyal to their family.

Aussie-Corgi Temperament and Behaviour
If you’re looking for a dog that loves to play and has boundless energy, the Aussie-Corgi may be the breed for you. These dogs are outgoing and sociable, and they love to be around people. They’re also intelligent and eager to please, making them easy to train. However, their high energy level means they need a lot of exercise, and they can be destructive if left alone for too long.
Aussie-Corgi Activity Requirements
Australian Cattle Dogs and Corgis were bred for herding, and today they are known as working dogs, herding dogs, and companion dogs. While their exact ancestry is unknown, they are believed to be a mix of European herding dogs and Asian breeds. While Aussies and Corgis are not as high energy as some other breeds, they do require regular exercise. They will do best in a home with a fenced yard where they can run and play. They also enjoy activities like hiking and playing frisbee. For an active dog, an Aussie-Corgi will not require a lot of space. However, they will be happiest in a home where they can spend plenty of time with their families. An active and outgoing family will be a good match for this busy, intelligent breed.
