Aussie Wheaten Activity Requirements
Australian Shepherds are a high-energy, intelligent herding dog. Although they are well suited to life on the farm, they are also a popular companion and family pet. This breed is loyal, attentive, and alert. While they are intelligent and athletic, Australian Shepherds do best with a job to do. They are happiest when they have a task to perform or an activity to engage in. This makes them a good fit for people who are looking for an energetic, playful companion. Australian Shepherds should be exercised regularly. A daily walk or jog is recommended, but this can be broken up into several smaller sessions if necessary. This breed does well in homes with yards or nearby parks where they can run freely.
