Bolo-Chi History
The Bolo Chi is a designer mixed-breed dog. It is the result of breeding a Basset Hound and a Chihuahua. The breeder who invented the Bolo-Chi was Dave Gordon, an American. He named the hybrid after bolo ties, which are worn by Mexicans, and chihuahuas.

The Bolo-Chi is a small, medium- to large-sized dog breed that typically stands between 11 and 15 inches tall at the shoulder and weighs between 20 and 40 pounds. They have an elongated, slightly wedge-shaped head with domed skull and rounded cheeks. They have a round muzzle and wide nose. They have large, triangular ears that stand erect and hang close to the head. They have long, slender legs with oval paws and short, thick tail. The Bolo-chi has a double coat of hair. The outer coat is wiry and curly while the inner layer is soft and somewhat crinkly. Their coat comes in a variety of colors and patterns.
