Boskimo History
The Boskimo, also known as the Portuguese Water Dog, is a curly coated water retriever and is the largest of the Portuguese water dogs. The coat of the Boskimo is usually white. The tongue is dark and is pink in males and dark brown in females. The adult male weighs from 35-50 kg (77-110 lb) and the adult female 25-40 kg (55-88 lb). The coat of the puppy is black, brown or gray and should lighten to a lighter shade, such as blonde or gold, by 5-6 months of age.

The Boski is a medium-sized, short-haired breed of domestic dogs of the spitz family. They originated in Norway and were bred as sledding and herding dogs. They are often nicknamed “snowshoes” because of their webbed feet.
