Eskland Temperament and Behaviour

The Eskland is an energetic working breed that is extremely devoted to his family. They are very protective and watchful of their family, and can become aggressive towards strangers. They may be cautious with new people and new situations, but are very receptive to training and socialization. They require plenty of exercise, but are also content to just lounge around the house.

Eskland Activity Requirements

Eskies are a medium-sized, herding dog that originated in the Shetland Islands. They are intelligent, hard-working, and loyal. While they are high-energy, they are not the kind of dog that needs to be walked or exercised for an hour every day. Eskies are generally happy with a 30-minute to 1-hour outing each day. Eskies are not well-suited for apartment living. While they don’t require a ton of space or constant human companionship, they do require some time outside. They are happiest when they have a safe place to run and play.
