The Miniature American Shepherd is a very small, medium-sized breed of herding dog that generally stands between 11 and 13 inches to the shoulders, and weigh between 15 and 25 lbs. The miniature shepherd has a double coat of fur that is thick and either solid in color or mottled, and is most commonly white with black spots, or dark brown with white patches. They have round eyes that are dark brown or hazel, and wrinkled, drooping ears that often are cropped. These dogs have quick, agile motion, and make great pets.
