The Native American Sheepdog is a herding and flock guarding hybrid of the German Shepherd and Border Collie. The Native American Shepherd is a confident, independent, and outgoing dog. They are very intelligent, often being compared to border collies, and are often easy to train. They are protective and territorial, and will bark and charge at anything they perceive as a threat.
