The Pitweiler is a type of canine that is made up of the Rottweiler and American Pit Bull Terrier. The origin of the name “Pitweiler” is unclear, but according to some sources, it stems from the “pit” fighting that took place in the 1800s. The Pitweiler is a mixture of the Rottweiler and American Pit Bull Terrier. The Rottweiler, also known as a Rottie, is the oldest of working dogs. It is believed to have originated in Germany in the 1600s and was originally used to protect livestock from predators. Today, the Rottweiler is most commonly used as a guard and watchdog.

The Pitweiler is a medium-sized breed of dog that is typically 21 to 24 inches in height at the shoulders and weigh between 60 and 75 lbs. They have a thick, muscular build, a sloping forehead and broad head. Their thick red-brown or brindle colored coats are shorter on top and longer on the legs. They have a white or cream-colored fur under the muzzle and on the legs. The ears are erect, large and triangular.
