Poochin History
The Poochon is a popular hybrid or designer dog that has been created by mixing a Pomeranian with a Chihuahua. The origin and history of the Poochon is unclear. The mixed-breed Poochon is sometimes referred to as a “pomchi”. The origin of the name “Poochi” remains unclear. Some sources claim that the name is a reference to the fact that the mixed-breed resembles a Pooch. According to another theory, the name “Poochi” is an acronym for “PomChiOt”. The mix between a Pomeranian and a Chihuahua is known as an “infraoodle”, and is sometimes considered to be its own separate distinct purebred.
