The rattle griffon is a fairly new hybrid Burmese / Rhodesian Ridgeback or Rottweiler / American Pit Bull Terrier cross. This mix is quite popular in the Middle East, especially in Israel, where a lot of breeders and enthusiasts are producing these hybrids as guard dogs and companions.
Rattle Griffon Physical Characteristics
The Rattle Griffon is a small, medium-size, short-haired, hound type breed of dog that is typically between 10 and 13 inches in height at the withers. They weigh between 20 and 35 pounds and have a long, slender build with a narrow head. Their coat is short and smooth. The eyes of the breed are almond shaped, with dark brown pigmentation, and the ears are drop or pendant. The tail is docked and the legs appear long. The muzzle is curved, with a pointed nose and wide lips. The teeth are scissor bite. The temperament of this breed is friendly, calm, and obedient.
