Schnekingese Activity Requirements
Schnauzers were bred to work alongside humans, protecting their homes and families. This makes them an ideal pet for families who live in the city or who have small children. While schnauzers are not an overly active breed, they do require a moderate amount of exercise and mental stimulation. A daily walk or jog is a good idea for this playful, intelligent dog. While schnauzers do very well in homes with yards, they are adaptable enough to thrive in an apartment. If you live in an apartment, make sure you take your schnauzer for frequent walks. This is also a great, low-impact way to burn extra calories and keep your schnauzer healthy.
