Sharmatian Activity Requirements

Shar-pei are large, short-haired “bear” type dogs that are typically calm and easygoing. These friendly little dogs are great with kids and typically have a lot of energy. A daily walk or jog is a must to keep your Shar-pei healthy and happy. These happy-go-lucky dogs are content to spend most of the time relaxing, but they do need to venture outdoors frequently. Shar-peis are not ideal for people who live in apartments or who don’t have space for a yard. They don’t necessarily need a lot of exercise, but they need room to spread out. If you think a Shar-pei might be a good fit for your lifestyle, be sure to research their exercise and grooming requirements.
