Smooth Foodle History

The Smooth Fox Terrier is a medium-sized, short-coated, muscular, athletic, and intelligent terrier. The Smooth Fox Terrier is a versatile dog that excels in obedience, agility, tracking, and flyball. The name “Smooth” Fox Terrier is a misnomer, as the coat is actually long, silky, and flowing. The Smooth is a compact, sturdy, square-proportioned, active, and agile fox terrier. The head is in proportion to the body, with a broad skull and a black nose and expressive dark brown eyes. The neck is of medium length, and is slightly arched. The chest is deep and wide, with well-developed forechest. The shoulders are muscular. The back is straight, and the hindquarters are angulated. The tail is docked to approximately 5.5 inches (14 cm). The adult height at the withers is 19 to 21 inches (48 to 53 cm), and the adult weight is 22 to 26 pounds (10 to 12 kg). The male is larger and heavier than the female.
