The Standard Bolonauzer is a breed of small, long-coated spitz-type working dog that originated in Slovenia. The Standard Bolonauzer is a very rare, even unknown, breed outside of Slovenia, and was only recognized by the American Kennel Club in 2014. The Standard Bolonauzer is a type of mountain dog, and is one of two types of bolonauzer, the other being the Miniature. It is a medium-sized, sturdy, short-haired, and long-coated working dog. The origin of the Standard Bolonauzer is shrouded in mystery, and today the origins are unknown. Some speculate that the ancestors of the Bolonauzer were Central European sheepdogs, while others believe that the dogs were developed in the Balkans.
