The Mini Ratzer is a hybrid, or designer, breed of dog that was created in the early 1980s by crossing the Pomeranian with the Chihuahua. The Mini Ratzer is classified by the Fédération Cynologique Internationale in the toy group. The history of the Miniature Pinscher is somewhat obscure. It is believed that the Miniature Pinscher was originally developed in Germany as a ratting terrier. There is some evidence that it may have been developed as a smaller version of the Dachshund. The small, sturdy, and alert, the Miniature Pinscher was a popular show and circus performer in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The popularity of the Miniature Pinscher began to decline in the mid-20th century, and its popularity never fully recovered. Today, the Miniature Pinscher is a popular companion pet.

Mini Ratzer Activity Requirements
The Miniature Schnauzer (Miniature) is a small, compact, and loyal terrier. Originally bred as a ratter, this hearty little pup is smart, adaptable, and devoted to their family. Most Minis will do well with at least an hour of exercise each day. This can be broken up into multiple short walks or one longer outing. Due to their small size, Minis do very well in homes without yards or in homes with small yards. While they don’t need a lot of space, they do need to be able to spend some time outside. Because of their sturdy build, Minis are good companions for people living in apartments or those who have difficulty walking. A daily walk or trip outside can keep your Mini happy and fit.
