Miniature Schnauzzie History

The Miniature Schnauzer is a breed of small-sized working dogs that originated in Europe. The Miniature Schnauzer is a medium sized, square built, short coat, wire-haired terrier, with a distinct beard and moustache, and comes in three sizes: standard, medium, and small. The Standard Schnauzer was originally developed as an all-around farm and home companion, and was commonly used as a ratter and as a watchdog. The Standard Schnauzer was recognized by the United Kennel Club in 1888. The Medium and Small (Miniature) schnauzers were developed in more recent times. Although the Standard and Miniature schnauzers are sometimes mistaken for the same breed, they are distinct and separate. The Medium and Small (Miniature) schnauzers were developed in more recent times.

Miniature Schnauzzie Activity Requirements

Miniature Schnauzzies are small-sized, long-haired terriers. They are typically gentle and mild-mannered, although they can have an independent streak. They have a strong prey drive and have been known to chase small animals. Some Miniature Schnauzzies will adapt well to apartment living, while others will need a fenced yard where they can run. They do enjoy going on walks and spending time with their family. However, they should not be left alone for too long. If you are looking for a small, easy to care for dog, a Miniature Schnauzzie might be a good choice. They do require some exercise and interaction with their owners, but they are not high maintenance.
