Olde English Bulldogge History
The Olde English Bulldogge is a mixed-breed, or “designer”, dog developed in the 1990s by crossing the Old English Bulldog with an American Pit Bull Terrier. The Olde English Bulldog is a type of bulldog that originated in England during the 16th century. It is one of two main types of bulldog, the other being the American Staffordshire Bull Terrier. The Old English Bulldog was a popular family pet during the 19th and 20th centuries. The popularity of the breed began to decline significantly after World War II, but a small resurgence in popularity occurred in the 1980s and 1990s. The Old English Bulldog was crossed with a pit bull in 1997 to create the Olde English Bully. In 2006, American breeders began to develop the now more common Olde English Bulldogge, which is a cross between an Old English and a Pug.

While they are not high-energy dogs, they do require regular exercise. A good walk or jog every day will meet your Old English Bulldogges’ exercise and energy needs. While they can be good with other dogs, your Old English Bulldogges should not be left alone all day. They are intelligent and need plenty of human interaction to remain happy.
